When tradition meets modernity! It is difficult to put into words what Yoshizumi Nagaya conjures up on the plates. I am thrilled every time. For those who eat here for the first time, I can only recommend the 10-course menu. Depending on your choice, you can have Wagyu and caviar, at € 600-700 for two - without alcoholic drinks. But what you get here is hard to beat in terms of sophistication. But the sushi platter for two is also impressive! But not only the food is convincing, the service is also "outstanding" for me personally. As a guest, you are clearly in the center of attention and are wonderfully guided or accompanied through the entire evening! But you should bring enough time, the 10-course menu takes about 3 hours in the complete version and at least 2 hours in the shortened version. For me one of the best Japanese restaurants outside of Japan!
A lot of innovation. Though I don't agree with everything, I can appreciate the novelty.
Excellent, highly recommend omakase course.
Fine star cuisine. Even if the wine list is a bit overpriced, the visit is a top-class culinary feast! I'm already looking forward to future visits.
Excellent quality and service. We ate a Bento Box there and everything was perfect. Note that the bento box had a touch of fusion cuisine and influences from other countries.
Super. The menu was very good.
Delicious Omakase, great fresh ingredients. Amazing Chef, highly recommended. ☀️?
A real experience - in terms of taste, service and prices :-)
Super delicious food, priced a bit more intense. Exclusive
We love this Japanese restaurant! It reminds us of our vacation in Japan. The quality of the food cannot be beat, and the service is always friendly. The ambience in the Japanese style, everything just fits.
Very good Japanese restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf on Klosterstrasse. The sashimi as well as the sake are excellent. The selection of food and drinks is very large and really great. The staff is competent, very friendly and attentive. The decoration and the interior of the Nagaya are very beautiful, it is bright and inviting. I personally can only recommend the Nagaya, it is definitely worth a visit.
From my point of view, a meeting in the pub is definitely recommended. Certainly yours truly come here with my business partners and I can count on being served in an exemplary manner. I find the guest house unimportant for all occasions, whether with mate, friends or family. As for me, think my partner and I have already had one ordered the whole menu up and down. The meal was served particularly briskly.
Probably the best Japanese food I have eaten anywhere outside of Japan. Of the highest quality.
Very good service. We had a very nice evening. The food was excellent. The sommelier gave us very good advice. We look forward to the next time.
Incredible that foie gras is offered in such an upscale restaurant. Does it have to be that way? Especially since it is forbidden.
At first our waiter seemed a bit stiff, but then created a very good relationship with one or two laughs :-). Food was just excellent.
Thank you for the wonderful evening! The service was great, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly, the kitchen was excellent. Overall, the restaurant is a bit undervalued in my eyes. The second star seems to be overdue. Alone a harmonious non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment would have been the icing on the cake on this evening. The wine drinkers among us are extremely enthusiastic.
Very outstanding bento for lunch with very good price! the whole set menu costs just 58euro !!!!!! Delicious, lovely and big portion! Were surprised that even included dessert ... the miso soup was also a delightful one, I remember that if you order only a miso soup is 12euro, but it’s still worth if I have to pay 12euro for this miso soup!!!! Definitely would come back again.
One of the best in Dusseldorf. Before flying to Dusseldorf I read reviews about restaurants. This restaurant was on my list of places to visit. The interior is simple but very cozy. Great staff, polite, helpful. The menu is varied, a large number of rolls, sushi and sashimi, there are also meat dishes. We took a set for 2, (130 euros for 2), which included miso soup, sashimi, sushi and rolls. A very satisfying set, and I liked everything very much, the freshest fish, a beautiful presentation. Unusual, tasty and very long There were 7 meal changes in 3.5 hours. The food is very unusual but tasty. The decoration of dishes deserves special attention - I have never seen such a thing anywhere. Huge selection of sake. The waiters are friendly and friendly, trying to speak Russian. The restaurant is open ONLY from 19.00. Good japanese restaurant Good restaurant located in the "Japanese" area of Dusseldorf. A bit away from the center, but surrounded by other similar institutions. A small room, a bar at the entrance. The entourage is ascetic and without frills. Friendly and friendly staff, cooks and most of the waiters are Japanese. We were served by a smiling girl from Poland. They took rolls, sushi and sashimi (unfortunately, it was not with eel). Delicious Japanese tea, I recommend. The portions in my opinion are small, but everything tasty and most importantly for Japanese cuisine is fresh. Japanese cuisine is very average Absolutely nothing special. Fairly mediocre restaurant. Ordinary Japanese cuisine: nothing outstanding. The only thing: a very beautiful design of dishes, but the portions are small. Milking Germany Extremely high prices. Not too comfortable room. Usually. The second time I won’t go.
Very good food with attention to detail. Everything is really artistically prepared, but not as abstract as it is sometimes exaggerated in other 'fine' kitchens. This mixture of craftsmanship and transparency really impressed me. The service was courteous and had its own charm / character. A great evening with a really stunning menu.
This upscale restaurant is sophisticated and reserved. Special culinary highlights await the guest. The staff is incredibly good. Overall an experience of a special class, gladly again at any time.
This is an excellent restaurant.Delicate food,Nice environment. But just a little expensive to Michelin one star.Three persons spent almost 900 Euro.
Exceptionally good Japanese restaurant
What an experience ... An experience that you can not forget. Thank you for the exceptional quality and the stunning creations on the plate.
Kobe <3
Excellent food quality and presentation.
This was very very good.
Food is good although nothing exceptional compared to more low key Japanese establishments in Düsseldorf. Atmosphere is a bit outdated with its 1990’s feel. Service is polite and caring but courses take a long time to transition. The sake list is completely depleted of any affordable €150-200 daiginjo or junmai ginjo sake bottles... all crossed out on the wine list leaving only €300 and up options for a 0.75cl bottle??! When discussing this with the sommelier I was first explained the price had to do with the fact the restaurant was expensive to run with 18 person staff on hand... and that I could opt for a sake by the glass instead. ? Didn’t really ask for their business plan nor for my sake order would need to be proportionate to their staff count but it’s definitely a creative approach to pricing. In my opinion the place deserves its lonely Michelin star for food ( within European standards that is ) but needs to bring some serious improvement to its traditional old school impersonal routine and *** wanna be attitude. And a piece of advice... when you do remodel the place put a proper sushi counter so the chef is not hiding in a glass box, hire at least 1 Japanese staff on your roster of outside kitchen staff and try your best to bring some warmth and casualness to the atmosphere. Open up, It’s almost 2020.
Lunch was excellent. I will definetly go back.
Great service, charming staff, amazing food.
Perfect presentations..
Nice
One of only a few sushi restaurants I have had the pleasure of enjoying that presents a truly remarkable experience. The service was excellent, the ambiance muted, and the food itself was of the highest quality, freshest ingredients, immaculately presented. Although, the cloud of dry ice smoking from under one of the sushi plates may have been a bit too much. (Photo). But. I cannot wait to return. 2019 08 31.
The food here is terrific. I love it. It's out of the world.
The food looks good here!
Great food, best sushi I have ever had!
Great food with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. ??
Nice Japanese food
Tasty food, nice atmosphere.
tasty food, nice atmosphere.
Fantastic creations of japanese food, never had such a tender sashimi, and the wasabi was fresh and delicious! Also the kobe beef and creations with truffle was amazing. One of a very few Michelin Star Restaurant with a decent Selection of international wines. Will come back for sure!
its k
Michelin star worth, this was so perfect ! Thank you !!
Perfect food, a somewhat Europeanized version of top quality Japanese food. With a 9-course menu each course was a highlight, the food was nothing to criticize. There is still a star deduction: the wines are clearly too expensive. It is abnormal that on some pages of the card no wine is offered under 100 euros. Here you should think about a correction down.
Friendly service and excellent food. A bit overpriced but definitely worth visiting. I had to drive so I had no option to taste the wines/sakes.
Best Sushi
Luxurious!!So kind service!
The most delicious Japanese food I’ve had in a long time. Great service as well!
Very expensive but also very, very nice. Delicate taste and high quality throughout all courses.
BEST FOREVER
